Back in the big apple

I thought coming back to New York was going to be daunting after being in such a relaxed city like Nashville but turns out I needed the rest so I could fit right back in here in NYC.

The count down to coming home is on which means time for copious amounts of shopping and trying to fit in as much sightseeing as I can each day.

My first full day back here (Tuesday) was intense!
I was out relatively early... 9.30am which is early for me so I could explore some of Central Park before the rain set in. On my way there I walked past an actress from one of my favourite to shows (Shameless ❤️) so I was fan girling big time and even more so after she replied to me on Instagram after I told her that I saw her (day completely made).

After a leisurely stroll through the park and some squirrel watching it was time for some ramen, then I headed downtown to be a creep and see Taylor Swifts apartment.

On the way I stopped by Soho to have this awesome freakshake (big ass milkshake) but noooo the line was about 50+ people long and I ain't got time for that.... But I may try again on Thursday as I'll be in the area.

Unfortunately Tay wasn't home, though it was a good thing as I got to go right up to the steps and door due to no security. Then the rain set in (booooo).

It doesn't sound like I did that much today but I actually walked inbetween most places instead of the train (until it rained ofcourse, I hate NY in the rain). Walking around NY is just great and the best way to fully experience this crazy city.

After doing a little shopping in Times Square I rushed back to my hostel in Queens so I could go to the Mets (baseball) game.
I had pretty ace seats for only $13 bucks but man was it cold and windy. After going backwards and forwards to the toilets just to use the hand dryer because I couldn't feel my hands I threw in the towel, bought my token souvenirs as I always do at sports games and headed back to my hostel after an hour or so. Stupid me thinking nahhhh it will be alright I'll just wear the thinest jumper I own, pretty sure I am still thawing out even now.

My second full day back here was spent at the Woodbury Common Outlets. Now most of the day was spent with me being incredibly indecisive but I ended up leaving with some perfume and a Michael Kors bag and wallet. I thought it was about time spoiled myself a bit.

Anyway tomorrow I move back to my hostel in Chelsea which is a great location which means more shopping and my first Broadway show ever tomorrow night, I can't wait.

Nashville

So I have been in Nashville for a couple of days now and I love it!

To me it is the older persons version of New Orleans, it's definitely party city.
The Main Street is lined with Honkey Tonks (bars playing live country music all day and all night). Now these places are FULL of rednecks but they are harmless and actually very entertaining.

My first day here I made friends with a girl in my dorm and have been hanging out ever since. It's actually kind of nice to have someone to sight see with.

So far I have been to the Country Music Hall of Fame, a Nashville Predators game, went to a local flea market, ate some ribs, went line dancing, drank some decent drinks, saw a show at the famous Grand Ole Opry, went on a ghost tour in the back of a hearse, laughed at all the rednecks, struggled to order food because I may as well be speaking Chinese, went to the American Pickers (tv show) store, sat on the grass and enjoyed the sun, enhaled to much second hand smoke (I do not understand why people can smoke everywhere here it's ridiculous), wanted suffocate the girl in the bunk above me for rustling plastic bags for two hours at 6am, walked up a lot of hills, bought a whole bunch of tacky and unnecessary souvenirs, visited many Honkey Tonks, visited the Bluebird Cafe, toured the Ryman Auditorium, ate delicious icecream and had an AMAZING time in general.

Nashville is such a beautiful city, so only photos do it it justice (kind of, you really need to come here).

Back to the crazy NYC tomorrow which will be a bit of a culture shock I think.
