To me it is the older persons version of New Orleans, it's definitely party city.
The Main Street is lined with Honkey Tonks (bars playing live country music all day and all night). Now these places are FULL of rednecks but they are harmless and actually very entertaining.
My first day here I made friends with a girl in my dorm and have been hanging out ever since. It's actually kind of nice to have someone to sight see with.
So far I have been to the Country Music Hall of Fame, a Nashville Predators game, went to a local flea market, ate some ribs, went line dancing, drank some decent drinks, saw a show at the famous Grand Ole Opry, went on a ghost tour in the back of a hearse, laughed at all the rednecks, struggled to order food because I may as well be speaking Chinese, went to the American Pickers (tv show) store, sat on the grass and enjoyed the sun, enhaled to much second hand smoke (I do not understand why people can smoke everywhere here it's ridiculous), wanted suffocate the girl in the bunk above me for rustling plastic bags for two hours at 6am, walked up a lot of hills, bought a whole bunch of tacky and unnecessary souvenirs, visited many Honkey Tonks, visited the Bluebird Cafe, toured the Ryman Auditorium, ate delicious icecream and had an AMAZING time in general.
Nashville is such a beautiful city, so only photos do it it justice (kind of, you really need to come here).
Back to the crazy NYC tomorrow which will be a bit of a culture shock I think.
