Andie and I got to hang out for a couple of days which consisted of tattoos, lots and lots of shopping, eating delish food and fun times in general.
After Andie went home it was time for me to check into my hostel which did not go smoothly!
The hostel is advertised as having cozy dorms and having a 5 star experience... It was definitely not the case.
My bed had a stain on it which very much looked like dried blood, the dorm resembled a Chinese laundromat (clothes and stuff everywhere), the blinds were broken so the women who were LIVING in the dorm had hung up towels and stuck newspaper on the windows as makeshift curtains. After having no luck with the mole receptionist I decided there was no way I could stay there so I booked myself into a hotel.
So FYI if you're ever in Toronto do not stay at The Clarence Park hostel (yes I am naming and shaming!).
Since being in Toronto I have done a whole lot of walking and shopping which has been awesome but it means I've hurt my ankle (lame).
I also took the ferry to Toronto Island. The main part of the island was closed due to the season, unlucky for me but I did get to go to the residential part of the island which was cute and I got a really good view of the city.
I also visited the famous St Lawrence Market and had a bacon roll and people watched in the Starbucks nearby.
After that I headed to the Ripleys Toronto Aquarium which was pretty cool and had a whole bunch of marine life that I hadn't seen before. But I thought I was being smart by going on a Tuesday but NOOO, every damn school group was there which meant a whole bunch of screaming kids... Though they were in prep so they were pretty cute.
I then did some more shopping and eating of pouting and decided to go and see The Boss because tickets were $5 and hey my feet hurt after nearly three weeks of constant walking.
Anyway I am off to Nashville tomorrow and I am so incredibly excited!
Lauren
